Asian and Pacific Islander Student Alliance

Our mission is to provide the campus with eye-opening knowledge of the experience of Asians and Pacific Islanders in America and abroad. We seek to create a safe space to talk about topics such as stereotypes and identity. We aim to spread awareness of issues by working closely with other social and cultural clubs and academic departments on campus. We hope to form relationships with other ethnic groups on campus and as well as connect Asian and Pacific Islander experiences to universal issues such as women’s rights, gay rights, and other issues involved in the overall campus conversation. The ultimate goal of APISA is to provide individuals with a community where they can experience self discovery, awareness and influence further representation of Asian American/Pacific Islander American perspectives throughout SUNY New Paltz.

Meetings are on Wednesdays SUB 401 8-9pm.
